After completing the
assignment Goals & Values, I learn a lot of things for myself. I used to
think about what I want to have. However, I never think what things I had which
can help me achieve those things I want. After setting up my Top 5 Goals and
Top 5 Values, I realized the connection of myself with things I want to
achieve. My top 5 goals are: Financial freedom, CPA Accountant, House on hills,
Investor, and Philanthropist. My top 5 values are: Honest, Perfectionism,
Ambitious, Responsible, and Careful. For example, I am an honest,
perfectionism, ambitious, responsible, and careful person. So, all my 5 values
fit perfectly with my goal to become a CPA Accountant. Being honesty,
responsibility, and carefulness are the standard morals that a CPA Accountant
should have when he done accounts for customers. I also find out that the value
which that fit most of my goals is my ambition. Because I am an ambitious
person, so I want to be financial freedom; I want to become a CPA accountant; I
want to have house on hills, and I want to become an investor. Although I am a
very ambitious person, but I also have responsibility with my family and
social. One of my goals is becoming a philanthropist, so I can use my money to
help unfortunate people. After all, I think this assignment just do something
as a leader in Path Goal Theory of Robert House; it cleared out for me the
vision and showed me the way to get to my goals. I know there is still a long
way to get me to achieve my goals, but now I see the road and begin to walk on
it.
